The Importance of Women in the Civil War

Shirley Hodges, Civil War history buff and genealogy expert will talk about fascinating women who lived through the Civil War period. Women played a very important role in this tragic four-year conflict. Unlike any war prior, women shouldered a lot of responsibility in the soldier’s family and home life.
