THE CROSWELL IS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS –
MAJOR WORK DAY PLANNED FOR MAINTENANCE PROJECTS
Thursday, September 5, 2013 10:00am – 4:30pm
Located in downtown Adrian, the Croswell Opera House is seeking volunteers to assist with a work day dedicated to completing a diverse list of maintenance and organizational projects. Everyone aged 15 and older is invited to attend the work day, whether assistance can be offered for one hour, or for the day.
The Croswell is Michigan’s oldest continually operating theatre, and at age 147, shows its age in a few spots. Several important projects planned for the work day include: carpentry and small building projects, minor electrical upgrades, carpet replacement, painting in several rooms, as well as organizational and cleaning projects throughout the building. Licensed electrical workers, plumbers and carpenters are needed for several larger projects, but anyone with a desire to help the Croswell and with an ability to clean, organize or assist with projects in welcomed to join in the fun!
If you are able to assist the Croswell with this important work day, please come dressed for labor, and in clothes that can get dirty. Though not required, it would be helpful if volunteers would let us know they plan to join us.
To RSVP, or for more information on the Croswell’s Work Day, please stop into the theatre located at 129 East Maumee Street in downtown Adrian. Or, you may contact Ashley, Croswell Box Office Manager, at 517-263-6868, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Croswell Work Day is an annual event, dedicated to the cleaning, maintenance and ongoing support of downtown Adrian’s only live theatre.
