Rachel Durfee and the Albion College Permanent Art Collection – Spring Arbor
The Ganton Art Gallery at Spring Arbor University is pleased to be exhibiting Prints by Rachel Durfee and the Albion College Permanent Art Collection February 9 – March 6, 2014. On Sunday, February 9, 2014 there will be an artist’s talk in Whitman Gibbs Auditorium at 2:00 p.m. with a reception following.
Rachel Durfee will be presenting her entire series titled “Of Being In Significance”. The body of work is made from a single woodcut that is altered into 26 images. In addition, prints from the Albion College Permanent Art Collection will be on display. A range of prints by various artists will be highlighting a variety of techniques and styles.
The Ganton Art Gallery and Spring Arbor University are located eight miles southwest of Jackson, Michigan in Spring Arbor. The gallery is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The exhibit, artist talk and reception are free and open to the public.
