Queen for a Day Event for Girls 4-12 – Jackson

August 10, 2013 all-day

The Jackson County RoseQueen Scholarship Pageant is once again hosting a “Queen for a Day” event for girls ages 4 to 12 on Saturday, August 10th at Commonwealth Commerce Center on the 4th Floor.  The girls will get to spend the day with the 2013 Jackson County RoseQueen Candidates and Miss Jackson County’s Outstanding Teen 2013, Kaitlin Hagerty. Activities will include learning queen etiquette, making a sash, and learning a dance routine that they will be performing at 6:00 that evening.

Cost for “Queen for a Day” is $45, which includes a t-shirt, tiara, snack, beverages, and a light dinner. Soon-to-be queens are asked to wear dark-colored shorts or pants and comfortable shoes (no flip flops), no pageant dresses or costumes as this is not a pageant.

Deadline to register is July 26th.  For the flier and registration form you can visit www.jacksonrosefestival.org or email Lynda Waldron, Jackson County RoseQueen Scholarship Pageant Executive Director, at lynda@jacksonrosefestival.org.

The funds raised from this event will go towards the Jackson County RoseQueen Scholarship Pageant.
