Nique LoveRhodes in Concert – Spring Arbor

April 17, 2013 @ 11:00 pm – April 18, 2013 @ 1:00 am

Detroit hip-hop artist and Spring Arbor University alum Nique LoveRhodes is hitting the road with her debut album Against All Odds: The Epic in a powerful, live show tour she is calling the “Love, Peace, Revolution Tour.” Always having a heart to inspire, Nique’s states that her main purpose for this tour is to “challenge, inspire, and push people to become everyday revolutionaries – people who defy the odds, live with passion and purpose, and who use their passions to inspire and give back to their communities and the people around them.” In a time where many are struggling and seeking out hope, this message could not be more relevant and needed.

Accompanied by a full band, Nique will be performing original songs from her album as well as cover songs from past mixtapes, “Civil Disobedience” and “Portrait of an Everyday Revolutionary.” The tour will begin at live music venues and colleges in the Midwest and East Coast for the Spring/Summer leg of the tour and then expand to the South and West Coast during the Fall/Winter leg of the tour. Along with a live concert, Nique will also conduct youth assemblies in each city encouraging teens to live above the influence of negative peer pressure and make positive choices in their lives.

The first stop of the tour is her alma mater, Spring Arbor University, the place where she developed as an artist and wrote much of the material for this album. The show will take place on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 inside of Spring Arbor University’s Student Center lounge, The Cougar Den. Doors open at 7 pm. Opening acts will feature current Spring Arbor University students and hip-hop groups AmFB and The Movement.
