A plan to fix Jackson’s streets will be the focus of three neighborhood meetings in January.
Councilmember Colleen Sullivan and other city officials will give presentations on a comprehensive road plan at the meetings. Proposed by Councilmember Sullivan, the 20-year plan intends to fix streets in need of repair, but also provide a sustainable funding structure to insure roads are kept in good shape. Officials will give information about the cost of this plan and how it will impact residents.
All Jackson residents are welcome to attend these meetings to learn about the plan and give input.
Meeting Schedule and Locations:
Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 6 p.m. – Martin Luther King Center, 1107 Adrian St., Jackson
Thursday, Jan. 10 at 6 p.m. – Carnegie Library, 224 W. Michigan Ave., Jackson
Monday, Jan. 14 at 6 p.m. – Calvary United Methodist Church, 925 Backus St., Jackson
Councilmember Sullivan will also present the road proposal to fellow council members at a Jackson City Council meeting later this month for their consideration of the plan.
