Mother’s Day at the JSO

Treat your Mom to an afternoon concert with the beautiful, soothing music of the Maeve Gilchrist Trio. The JSO welcomes back Maeve this Sunday, May 12 at 3 p.m. Held at the JSO’s Performing Arts Center, downtown Jackson, your Mom is free with one paid reservation of $15. Light refreshments will be served. Reservations are encouraged but not necessary.

Besides having a full, deep and lovely voice, Gilchrist is a phenomenal harp player who can make her instrument ring with unparalleled purity. Edinburgh, Scotland-born Maeve Gilchrist has been credited as an innovator on her native Celtic Harp due to her unique chromatic and improvisational approach to the instrument. Based in Boston, Maeve tours internationally as a solo artist and with her trio. She teaches at the Berklee College of Music and has been published by Hal Leonard.
