MLK Jr. Community Day of Service – Jackson

On Monday, Jan. 21, Spring Arbor University will host “The Martin Luther King, Jr. Legacy Service Day Project,” a countywide community service project organized by the Office of Intercultural Relations. The Legacy Service Day Project is the largest organized single day community service project in Jackson County with over 500 volunteers.

The event begins at 10 a.m. (doors open at 9:30 a.m.) in downtown Jackson’s historic Michigan Theatre (124 N. Mechanic St, Jackson, MI 49201). Volunteers will be provided free coffee and donuts. The event will start with a community rally and will include the involvement of local nonprofits, businesses, local service clubs and the SAU community. All are welcome and encouraged to join.
