The Jackson Symphony Guild is excited to present a new event during spring 2017, the “Gershwin Garden Party” which will benefit the Jackson Symphony Orchestra.

This year’s event is scheduled for Friday, May 12, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Horace Blackman Park in downtown Jackson, in the beautiful new CP Federal City Square, directly across the street from the home of the Jackson Symphony Orchestra. The event will feature heavy hors d’oeuvres, dancing, garden themed silent auction items and live entertainment focused on the music of George and Ira Gershwin.

The entertainment will take center stage, as the evening will feature a jazz ensemble from Hartford, Connecticut, vocals by Detroit’s own Nicole New and accompaniment by a string ensemble from the Jackson Symphony Orchestra. The beloved catalog of the Gershwins, in beautiful downtown Jackson is not something to miss.

Tickets are available through the Jackson Symphony Orchestra. Ticket options are as follows; $40 advance general admission tickets, $50 special patron tickets, which include admission to a champagne reception at the JSO prior to the event or general admission tickets available for $50 at the door.
