The Michigan Institute for Contemporary Art will be hosting their annual Burning Desires event in a highly interactive, virtual format this Sunday, February 14th, from 1-4 PM.
This free program is sure to warm up our attendees this Valentine’s Day, with more than 18 poets and musicians from across the United States and internationally contributing their work. Most poets will also perform pieces in memory and honor of the event’s founder and emcee d’amour, Sam Mills, who passed away a few weeks ago. In its twentieth year, this program will be an especially memorable and unique one.
Burning Desires will take place from 1-4 PM this Sunday, February 14th as a highly interactive virtual program. Attendees will have the ability to view performances in a variety of virtual “tables,” as well as interact with poets and fellow attendees. The event is free. The Michigan Institute for Contemporary Art encourages donations to support their work to offer more online programs amidst a time of great instability and uncertainty for the fine arts.
