Don’t miss this romantic comedy where a father
attempts to make his daughter’s dreams come true!
The Croswell brings laughter to Adrian with the romantic comedy, Father of the Bride! For the first time ever on our stage, Father of the Bride will bring a smile to your face and warmth to your hearts as the Banks family gets swept off their feet by their daughter’s wedding plans. Great for the whole family, Father of the Bride will be lighting up the Croswell stage from February 28th to March 9th.
Father of the Bride tells the tale of the Banks family and the unexpected announcement of their daughter Kay’s marriage to a boy they have never met named Buckley. When Buckley finally shows up he announces that he would like a small wedding with only Kay, himself, and the preacher. However, Kay and her mother have a wedding for the whole family in mind! As the days pass the guest list gets longer and so do the bill, sending the father of the bride into a mid-life crisis. When, in a moment of flurried emotions and panic, Kay calls off the wedding it’s up to Mr. Banks to set things straight in this relatable, romantic comedy.
Father of the Bride is based on the book of the same name from 1949 written by Edward Streeter, has been made into the movie from 1950 starring Eliz Taylor and Spencer Tray, and has even had a TV series based on its story in 1961.
