Detroit Lions Play Basketball Fundraiser – Spring Arbor University

On Saturday, April 27, in the SAU Fieldhouse there will be a fundraising basketball game between the Detroit Lions and Thought 1. All proceeds from the game will go to the Thought 1 Scholarship Fund through the Jackson Community Foundation. The Thought 1 Scholarship is a newly established fund that will provide a scholarship to a Jackson County High School graduate who either lost a parent, step-parent or legal guardian to cancer or they are a cancer survivor themselves.

Tickets for the event are now on sale. All participants, coach, players and officials will have tickets available for purchase. Further, tickets are available at the Jackson Community Foundation, and you may call (517) 812-6417 or email for tickets. Tickets will also be available at the door.

The event will take place at the Spring Arbor University Fieldhouse, on SAU’s main campus, at 106 E. Main Street in Spring Arbor, MI, 49283.

The cost of tickets will be $10 for adults and $5.00 for current SAU students with their ID.

The game will start at 7:30 p.m. At halftime of the game, the Detroit Lions players will sign autographs for 25 to 30 minutes. There will be programs available at the event and a 50/50 raffle as well.

The Detroit Lions team will consist of three current players and three alumni. The names of the Detroit Lions will not be available until approximately seven to 10 days prior to the event.
