August 24th and 25th, Cascades Park becomes a civil war battlefield and encampment. The battles start at 2 p.m. each day and, this year, feature the Battle of Chancellorsville and the Battle of Gettysburg. The event is fun for the whole family with encampment and medical demonstartions, military ball, arts and crafts vendors and a free concert from the Saline Fiddlers, sponsored by Experience Jackson.
