Birds, Blooms and Butterflies Festival- Dahlem Center in Jackson

The Birds, Blooms and Butterflies Festival is perfect for families and people of all ages.  Featured naturalist programs include the popular hummingbird banding, live birds of prey, butterfly exhibit, native plants for sale, guided walks, native bee conservation, kids crafts & activities, artists & vendors, Jackson Audubon, Jackson County Master Gardeners, and more!  Healthy and hearty food available from the Friends of Dahlem.

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.


Wildtype Design, Native Plants & Seed will be selling a wide variety of native plants. Kay Charter of Saving Birds Through Habitat will present a keynote program on butterfly gardens. Bluebird Society of Michigan is presenting Natural History of Bluebirds and will also answer questions on best practices for helping our Eastern Bluebirds. Jackson County Master Gardeners Association will have a booth and answer question regarding plants.


Dahlem is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that includes the nearly 300-acre John and Mary Dahlem Environmental Education Center located at 7117 S.
