“Christine Waugh-Fleischmann- Techniques and Tips on Water Mixable Oil Painting Hands-on Demo”

The public is invited to attend the next Jackson Civic Art Association meeting as we welcome Artist/Instructor Christine Waugh- Fleischmann, March 18, 2014 at 7:00 PM, Community Room, Ella Sharp Museum, 3225 Fourth Street, Jackson. Christine Waugh- Fleischmann (MA Visual Arts Ed, Eastern Michigan University) has taught Art/Painting to students from preprimary to university level. She is currently teaching at Spring Arbor University and Lansing Community College. An accomplished painter, she has participated in numerous juried Art exhibits and had work displayed throughout the state including Statewide Fine Arts Competition, Mid Michigan Art Guild Member Exhibits, Scarab Invitational Show, 61st Annual Michigan Watercolor Show and Conifer Gallery in Okemos of which she is co-owner and contributing Artist. Her work is inspired by fresh experiences, travel, Greek mythology, Adinkra symbols of the Ashanti People, memories. Fascinated by the impact of color, hidden or obvious… and light, she uses a variety of media.. oil, watercolor, pen, acrylic. “I just love to paint and to teach painting. Painting is a lifetime love for me.” Doors open at 6:00. Meeting begins at 6:30. Christine’s Presentation/Hand-on Demo begins at 7:00. Non-members/$5.
