The American Red Cross and the Lenawee County Fairground will once again partner on September 11, 2014 for the 2nd Annual ‘Drive of Remembrance’ blood drive, which honors the victims and survivors of the September 11th attacks. Since 2002, generous Red Cross donors have given nearly 9,000 pints of blood during 9/11 blood drives, positively affecting more than 26,900 lives.
The 2nd Annual “Drive of Remembrance” blood drive will be held on September 11 from 9:00AM to 7:00PM at the Lenawee County Fairgrounds (602 N. Dean Street) in Adrian.
Summer is always a tough time to ensure a sufficient blood supply, as regular donors become busy with summer activities and are unable to make rolling up a sleeve part of the schedules. By taking time to donate on this very special day, you’ll help ensure that blood is available for patients whenever and wherever it’s needed. Donations through the Red Cross could help patients at local hospitals or help those who must travel outside the area for medical treatment.
Everyone who comes out to donate will receive a free American Red Cross “Drive of Remembrance” t-shirt, while supplies last. Donors will also be treated to a hot, home-cooked meal in the Red Cross canteen.
To schedule an appointment to donate, call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org. Sponsor Code: Patriotic.
