21st Annual Hit ‘em Fore Hospice Golf Benefit Returns to the Grande Golf Club

The 21st Annual Hit ‘em Fore Hospice Golf Benefit presented by American 1 Credit Union and TRUE Community Credit Union will return as an in-person event in 2021.

The four-person scramble will take place on Monday, September 13 at the Grande Golf Club in Jackson, MI, a Golf Digest Places to Play 4.5 star-rated golf course.

The two community-oriented financial institutions, both headquartered in Jackson, MI, have set a goal of raising more than $70,000 for the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home in 2021 and are searching for sponsors to help make this year’s event a success.

The event’s fundraising team will have additional opportunities to support the hospice home leading up to the event. Powder-coated tumblers will be available for a donation, along with an opportunity to purchase a tumbler for a healthcare worker. There will also be 50/50 raffle tickets available on select days throughout the summer at some American 1 and TRUE Community branch locations.

“We are honored to be part of an event that has raised nearly $375,000 for the hospice home, and are ever-thankful for the invitation from our friends at TRUE to partner with them on this event,” said President/CEO of American 1 Credit Union and Chair of the Henry Ford Allegiance Health Board of Trustees Martha Fuerstenau. “Our local non-profit organizations need our support now more than ever, and we remain boldly committed to reaching our fundraising goals for this event.”

The 2021 Hit ‘em Fore Hospice Virtual Golf Benefit follows the success of the 2020 event, where American 1 Credit Union and TRUE Community Credit Union shifted gears to a virtual event and raised nearly $60,000 for the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home.

President/CEO of TRUE Community Credit Union and Chair for the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Board Chrissy Siders stated, “In these times of such uncertainty, we are thankful for the opportunity to partner with American 1 Credit Union once more to raise funds for the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home. We are humbled to have the opportunity to come alongside families seeking care for their loved ones at the hospice home and to lift the financial burden they may be carrying – providing support during this key, legacy-defining moment.”
