Soap-making 101 – Concord
Oct 19 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Soap-making 101 - Concord

At this event, you will learn how to make two types of soap, including a milk based soap. You will be taught how to do it from start to finish, from scratch, with easy to find ingredients, and you will leave with soap of your own that you made yourself. The session will cover different types of soap and different additives you can add – naturally – for color, texture and scent.
This class is located at K7 Farm in Concord, MI. The cost of the class is $40 per person and payment must accompany your registration (contact Sarah directly via phone/text (517-215-5150 or email sarah@k7farm.com). Childcare can be available for a small additional fee to pay the babysitter. Literature will be sent home with you and you will also be taking two types of soap home with you that you have made yourself.
This class will last about 2-3 hours, usually most of that is spent standing but there are accommodations available for those who need it. You will be working with lye, and safety equipment is provided for your use during this class. Be sure to bring a small cooler with ice and a small blanket or towel. Due to the nature of this class, class size is purposely kept small, so be sure to register early to secure your spot.
