Doors open at 6:00 for socializing/refreshments, 6:30 Mtg. begins, 7:00 Demo begins.

Award winning Adrian Artist Tom Thiery will be giving a Demo “Watercolor Reflections of the UP” which is free and open to the public. Originally from Indiana and the Chicago area, Tom attended the Art Institute of Chicago, received a BA in Art Western Michigan University and M.F.A Eastern Michigan University. He has worked as an Illustrator and Art Educator. Affiliations include National Arts Club of NYC, Toledo Federation of Artists and Rocky Mountain Watermedia Society. His work has been commissioned for public and private collections including the Capitol Building, Washington, DC and the Statue of Liberty Collection, NYC. Numerous Awards include those received from Watercolor USA, Midwest Watercolor Society. Featured in American Artist Magazine he has participated in Art Prize, Grand Rapids for the last three years. This year his Art Prize piece “They Have Not Died in Vain…..Gettysburg 150th” (Anniversary piece) will be displayed at the Courtyard Marriot in Downtown Grand Rapids. The Drawing/Painting (pen & ink) was created with approximately 34, 000 palm and fingerprints.
