Spring Arbor University celebrates Black History Month – Spring Arbor

Join Spring Arbor University in celebrating Black History Month with a panel of experts Thursday, February 6, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church. The event is free and open to the public.

The discussion will focus on the “Impact of Racial Stereotypes in America,” as panelists address the following:

Solutions to racial stereotypes
Impact of stereotypes in classrooms and university campuses
How to have difficult and sensitive discussions about the perceptions of race inferiority and how such stereotypes impact individual achievement
How media stereotypes impact views of others in society.
