Breakfast Bike Rally and Leader Ride
Fri, 05/17/2013 – 7:30am
The biking community is growing in Jackson! We’re kicking off Smart Commute 2013 with this fun, social event and bike ride through Jackson. Come out to meet other people who bike in Jackson, and celebrate the burgeoning bike culture over breakfast before work.
Breakfast Bike Rally:
We’ll be serving a light breakfast and coffee at Art634. Bike over for pre-work bike fellowship. We’ll unveil the Smart Commute Bike Rack Trophies, show off the Armory Bike Union, and talk about the direction of trail development and bike facilities in Jackson.
Community leaders and Smart Commuters are invited to ride with us on a short tour of our growing trail system and a couple opportunities to make Jackson a more bike-friendly community. This three-mile ride will highlight the Grand River ArtsWalk, bike lanes on Mechanic Street, and opportunities to connect the trail with our downtown. You’ll get the inside scoop on upcoming trail improvements and a tour of the Armory Bike Union, Jackson’s community bike space!
A bike and helmet are required for the ride. The Fitness Council has a limited supply of both for loan on a first-come, first-served basis- reserve ahead of time!
