The Green Market at Allegiance Health focuses on natural, sustainable Michigan produce and products.
All foods and products sold at The Green Market at Allegiance Health are grown and/or produced in Michigan using little or no pesticides, herbicides, inorganic fertilizers, or antibiotics. This means healthier foods for the greater Jackson community and less pollution for our rivers and lakes.
The market is outdoors from May to October, at the corner of Page and Michigan Avenues in the parking lot of the Allegiance Health Neuro-Muscular-Skeletal Center, 1201 East Michigan Avenue. The outdoor market features vendors offering seasonal fruits, vegetables, and herbs; gourmet baked goods and preserves; free-range eggs; hormone and antibiotic-free cheeses, poultry, lamb, pork and beef; honey and maple syrup; potted annuals, perennials, and cut flowers; gluten-free dog biscuits; plus arts and crafts produced by local artists and crafts people.
The market accepts the Michigan Bridge Card, credit and debit cards, Project Fresh coupons, Senior Project Fresh coupons, WIC and Double Up Food Bucks, as well as cash and checks. The Green Market at Allegiance Health is a not-for-profit farmers’ coop organization supported in part by Allegiance Health.
