Presenters:

Emily Rooney is originally from Kalamazoo MI and recently graduated from the University of Michigan with a dual degree in Psychology & Sociology. She is currently serving as a HandsOn Tech Americorps VISTA member in downtown Detroit. As part of the HandsOn Tech team, Emily has helped plan workshops & trainings for Nonprofits serving the low income community on various free and low cost technology tools such as: Google Apps, WordPress, Microsoft Web Apps and more. She has also worked with select nonprofits on individual Tech Assessments to help them implement and maintain technology tools specific to their organizational needs. She has really enjoyed helping nonprofit organizations so far this year and hopes to continue to work in the nonprofit sector in the future!

Maia Campbell is a Chicago native, but has lived most of her life in the Flint area. She has a degree in Human Services from Baker College and is passionate about serving the community. Currently working with the HandsOn Tech Detroit program Maia helps nonprofit organizations utilize free and low cost technology tools to help them increase their capacity. HandsOn Techs goals are met through hosting large trainings and also one on one projects with selected organizations. These selected organizations staff is trained on things like Google Apps, WordPress, social media best practices and numerous other technology tools.
