Come to the Leslie Science & Nature Center for family fun, getting outside, and celebrating spring! We’ve created an event filled with educational fun and activities for every member of the family, including guided interpretive hikes, a golden egg hunt for a special prize, an egg grab, family games, and checking out the rabbits in the Critter House. It’s a fertile time of the year for family fun, so join us Sunday, March 24, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Leslie Science & Nature Center, 1831 Traver Road, Ann Arbor, MI, 48105.
The event will start with an egg hunt and grab in our grassy field, accommodating multiple age groups. Participants will be encouraged to turn in the eggs they gather in exchange for a prize – a far healthier alternative to eggs filled with candy! In addition to the egg grab prize, attendees will receive a scavenger hunt card they can complete for an additional reward. Finally, we will have several special golden eggs hidden around the Leslie site – find one and turn it in to receive a special prize!
We’ll be playing spring- and egg-themed family games throughout the event, as well as creating a variety of crafts and creating our very own bunny ears and hatching eggs. The Easter Bunny will be in attendance, so children of all ages can meet him and take advantage of the opportunity to take photos on the beautiful LSNC site. Attendees will also be discovering what rabbits and other critters are doing in spring in the Critter House, which will be open throughout the event. A LSNC Raptor egg guess challenge is a special learning opportunity, as participants will match the model raptor egg to the correct species of raptor from among the educational birds of prey who make LSNC their home. It’s an amazing hands-on learning activity emphasizing spring, new growth, and our local environment.
The Leslie Science & Nature Center Egg Hunt is two hours of active outdoor family fun! Attendance is $15/family, and all ages are welcome. Register online now at lesliesnc.org/program/egg-hunt or call 734-997-1553.
