Cascades Humane Society is having a celebration to commemorate the unknown birthdays of sheltered and adopted dogs.
While often times the ages of rescued dogs are identifiable, their true birthdates are usually unknown. Many pet parents are known to select a random date to celebrate their adopted dog’s birthday, such as a significant occasion, a family member’s birthday, a special holiday that reflects the dog’s personality, or in many cases, the date on which they adopted the animal.
To give these wonderful animals their much deserved recognition, the Cascades Humane Society will be hosting a birthday party for all shelter and rescued dogs on DOGust 10th (August 10). The birthday party will be on Saturday, August 10 from 12- 2 p.m. at Cascades Humane Society.
Donations of dog toys and treats for the dogs at the humane society are encouraged. The celebration will include birthday treats, “PUPcakes” for the dogs and birthday cake for their families. The birthday dogs can also take part in several special games like Find the Dog Biscuit and the Fastest Peanut Butter Eating Contest.
