Junior Achievement will be hosting their annual “On the Course For Education” Golf Scramble, sponsored by Spring Arbor University, Baker College and Jackson Community College on Friday, August 9th at Hankerd Hills Golf Course. Golf enthusiasts will enjoy this great way to spend some time with friends, family and co-workers! This event is the kick off for our fall programs – every $250 raised brings JA programs to another classroom of kids!
This outing is a golf scramble with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. Foursomes are encouraged to sign up early and reserve their spot. The cost to participate is $80 per golfer and $320 for a team of four ($420 if a team would like to sponsor a hole). Cost includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, dogs at the turn, buffet steak or chicken lunch to follow golfing, entry into Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive and Hole in One contests, goodie bags for participating and door prizes! Back by popular demand, there will be a silent auction during lunch; this has been known to be a great place to find the perfect gift for someone special or a golf package for you and some friends! Golfers can also take advantage of the “extras” available on event day – Mulligans, Putting Contest and 50/50 drawing!
Sponsorships are available from $100 and up and provide community support and recognition for your company! For companies with golf enthusiasts on staff – check out our sponsorships that waive the team entry fees!!! Sponsorships translate into programs that teach students financial literacy and workforce readiness while encouraging their entrepreneurial spirit.
If you would like to sign up and take advantage of the opportunity to get out “On the Course” or you would like to support JA by signing on as a sponsor for the event, call the Junior Achievement office at 782-7822 extension 16 to sign up for this spectacular golf outing!
