Larry Martin’s WWII In Their Own Words –Jackson

Larry Martin returns to bring our Nation’s history to the present and foster an appreciation for the hardships endured by our veterans. Larry’s interest in WWII history and his passion for both gathering and sharing the stories of the men and women of the war has sparked the creation of the In Their Own Words project. Each event this year will have a personal appearance by the veterans.

Please join us for an all new interview on Saturday, August 3 at 10 am featuring Lee Zimmerman, Lt. Army Air Corps, B-17 Bombardier. He was stationed in England with the Mighty 8th Air Force. He flew many combat missions before he was shot down in the fall of 1944 over Germany which brought him to be a POW at Stalag Luft #4 in Poland. He will also talk about the top secret Norden Bomb site. Zimmerman is a retired Jackson businessman.
