Debra is a graduate of Northwestern University where she studied vocal performance and theatre. From there she worked professionally in Chicago and was on such shows as Full House, LA Law, Murder She Wrote, and In the Heat of the Night. In Atlanta she has directed numerous musical revues with the Triple Threat Teens, co-directed the Little Mermaid at CYT Atlanta, co-directed the 7 Dwarfs Playhouse, as well as putting together theatrical pieces for Perimeter Christian School. Her recent television credits include Claire Decker on Army Wives, Estelle on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, and Annie on Let’s Stay Together. Her recent stage work with the Johns Creek Players includes Vi, the preacher’s wife, in Footloose, and Velma Von Tussle in Hairspray. Debra speaks eloquently to the integration of her faith in a professional career in the “secular” world.
